Mobile is an afterthought
Seven in ten of your customers are on a phone, often standing on a sidewalk in the rain. Pinch-to-zoom menus and a tap target the size of a peppercorn cost you the table.
Ridgeline is a small Asheville design studio that rebuilds tired local websites into calm, modern, mobile-first storefronts that book tables, fill calendars, and sell what you make.
We've audited hundreds of local sites — boutiques on Lexington, cabins off the Parkway, breweries in the South Slope. The same handful of problems quietly cost real revenue every week.

"Are y'all open right now?" is the single most-asked question on a local site. If a visitor scrolls more than once to find it, half of them leave for a competitor's Google listing.
Generic latte art and faceless smiling teams from Eastern Europe. Real photos of your space, your people, and your product outperform stock by a wide margin — every time.
Eleven plugins, three of them abandoned, a theme nobody documented, and a load time north of six seconds. Every update is a small prayer.
Make a reservation? Get a quote? Buy a mug? If your homepage has seven equal-weight links, it really has none. Visitors leave to "think about it" and never return.
No schema markup, no service-area pages, no reviews surfaced. Tourists searching "best breakfast near Biltmore" never make it to your door.
Most popular
From $6,400
Strategy, content, photography direction, design, build, launch. We replace your entire site with one we'd be proud to put our name on — and one your customers can actually use.
Quick win
From $2,200
Keep your CMS, replace the part visitors actually see. A modern hero, real photography, a clearer offer, and a homepage that loads in under a second — in two to three weeks.
Ongoing
From $480/mo
Hosting, monthly content updates, performance monitoring, and a quarterly design review. The retainer your last freelancer disappeared before offering.
Not every project is dramatic on the surface. The wins almost always show up in the numbers — and in the kind of customer who walks through your door already sold.

Sample projects shown as concept previews. Real client URLs available on the discovery call — many of our clients prefer we don't list them publicly until launch.
A 45-minute Zoom or a coffee at PennyCup. We walk through your current site live, share an honest screen-recorded audit within 48 hours, and tell you whether you actually need us.
Week 0 · Free
We agree on the one thing your site should make easy: a reservation, a quote, a sale. Everything that follows is in service of that.
Week 1
Two design directions, then one. We design the homepage and your most-trafficked interior page first — so you can feel the whole site before we build it.
Weeks 2–3
We hand-code or use Webflow / Shopify depending on what you'll actually maintain. If your photos aren't pulling weight, we'll bring in one of three local photographers we trust.
Weeks 3–4
We migrate, monitor, and stay close for the first month. Real visitors will tell us things no design review ever could — we use that month to listen.
Week 5+
We'd been embarrassed of our website for three years. Ridgeline rebuilt it in four weeks and, more importantly, taught us how to keep it from getting embarrassing again.
The discovery call alone was worth more than the last two freelancers we'd hired combined. They told us, kindly, that we didn't need a full rebuild — just a homepage and a contact flow. We listened. Leads doubled.
Our cabins were getting lost on Airbnb. Now we get direct bookings from people who clearly read the whole site — they arrive already loving the place.
No pitch deck, no sales call required. If we think you'd be a great fit, we'll say so. If you'd be better off with someone else — or with no redesign at all — we'll tell you that, too.
